LEGO Minifigure Series 6 & 7 Revealed

We finally have decent photos of the next two series in the highly acclaimed collectible minifigures series. It's hard to believe we are already hitting the 7th series. Well this time around we have a lot of great new additions that are all very exciting. The photos are from fbtb's flickr site via The Brothers Brick.

The list as is following (as I have named them):

  1. Computer Geek
  2. Bride
  3. Stunt Man/ Dare Devil
  4. Viking Warrior of the Female Kind (who just might sing at an opera)
  5. Jungle Boy (Man)
  6. Easter Bunny (cont. of gorilla and lizard guy i guess)
  7. Swimmer with medal (very important)
  8. Male Tennis Player (possibly named Roger Federer)
  9. Lady Rock Star
  10. Aztec Warrior
  11. Scottish Bagpiper (theoretically he could be from anywhere, but it's cooler if he's from Scotland)
  12. Future Battle Dude (I don't have much experience with space and future genres so I don't know what you'd call this guy)
  13. Hippie
  14. Dark Knight (not Batman)
  15. Little Red Riding Hood (almost wrote: little red robin hood :) ) It seems that LEGO is including some fairytale characters, which could get interesting.
  16. And Poseidon/ Neptune or King under the Sea or just plain Merman

This one seems to have a watermark on it, though it is not from the LEGO Company (the watermark)

List as I choose it to be:
  1. Leprechaun
  2. Flamenco Dancer
  3. Bandit
  4. The Glorious Statue of Liberty ( a personal favorite)
  5. Mechanic
  6. Minotaur

The Flying Dutchman

When I saw this one on The Brothers Brick I was like WHOA, because I had just started reading Castaways of the Flying Dutchman by Brian Jacques and then saw this. This one is probably the one from Pirates of the Caribbeans though. Well, in any case, 2 Much Caffeine's ghost ship is one of the first entries of the Jolly Roger Contest II.

Journey To Camelot

As we travel back in time to medieval Camelot to relive the knights of round table's adventures thanks to Blake Baer, we must also go back and pretend it's monday because I'm a little late on my very own Microscale Monday ;D.

Journey to Camelot

Toys R Us

lgorlando made a beautiful Modular Toys R Us. I really like the detail of the inside as with all his MOCs.

On another note I've been slightly against TRU lately, because when I was in Portland, Oregon in a Lego store, and the guys there had said that Lego had been looking to start a Lego in my hometown of Vancouver, Canada. But then, sadly they said that TRU had "kindly said not to make a store in Vancouver", so I guess I'll have to settle with the one in Calgary or Seattle.

Ravel

Nannan Z. from The Brothers Brick has just created a most amazing picture puzzle out of Lego. The MOC itself is stunning, but Nannan has gone farther and written a mysterious poem. I couldn't make heads or tails out of it :{ See if you can.

This is Ravel, a picture puzzle. You are a postman who one days wakes up in a mysterious place. What is going on, is it a dream? You come across a signpost in the road. It reads:

Welcome friend to a place called Ravel,
Should you wish to leave; there’s no need to travel.
Open your mind and believe what you see,
Follow my words carefully and you will be free.

Beware the creature chained to the guillotine,
A close encounter, and death he will bring.
He bears your semblance like a deranged twin,
To get past you must slay him from within.

The weapon you seek is neither sword nor spear,
It is rather small and shaped like a sphere.
But judge not this toxic fruit by its size,
The bones of the Great Beast tell no lies.

Finding the exit is your next task,
There’s no gate or portal, so don’t even ask.
Look to the stars and you will find your way,
They light your path as clear as day.

Point the Northern Star southeast,
To the south you will shine the Star of the Northeast
Point the Eastern Star southwest
And the Southwest Star east. (You’re almost done with your quest!)

The obsidian block marks the compass center,
And where the light beams cross, there you will enter.
Pick up the tools once guarded by the creature,
Now dig dig dig your way to departure!
